What this masterclass covers
Wedding floristry is a different discipline from everyday arrangement work. The scale, the coordination with other vendors, the non-negotiable deadlines, and the emotional weight clients attach to every detail make it a demanding area to enter without preparation.
Where most florists run into difficulty
The most common problems are not design-related. Florists who struggle with weddings usually do so because of underpricing, poor time estimates, or unclear client communication in the early stages. This course addresses all three directly, alongside the practical design and production work.
Course content overview
The programme runs across six sessions. The first two cover client consultation structure, how to read a brief accurately, what questions to ask, and how to present a proposal that reflects the actual scope of work. Sessions three and four focus on design development: building cohesive schemes across multiple arrangement types, from ceremony installations to table centrepieces to personal flowers, so that everything reads as part of the same visual language.
Session five is a full production day. Participants work through a simulated wedding order, conditioning and processing flowers, preparing all components on a realistic timeline, and handling the logistics of packing and transport. Session six covers post-event review, client follow-up, and refining the pricing model based on what the production day revealed.
What participants take away
A working consultation template, a pricing spreadsheet calibrated to realistic material and labour costs, and a production checklist developed through the practical session. These are tools built during the course, not generic handouts.
